Women in tech don’t wait to be asked to be the project manager on that tech project you know you can totally rock!
So often I hear women in tech say that they are thinking about it or they just aren’t sure if it’s the time.
You’ve been on the sidelines too long and now it is time for you to step up and out and take on that project.
You can see yourself owning it. You can see yourself as the project manager. Hell, you would do it better than whoever is going to end up with it! You know that!
But there is still something holding you back. It’s that little doubt inside your head. You know the one that women especially have. The one that says that you have to be an expert at every conceivable issue that might be part of being the project manager this time. Wake up ladies the dudes aren’t thinking that. They don’t let not knowing everything stand in their way and neither should you.
So here’s the thing – I bet you can be that tech project manager.
I bet you can step up and find that voice of yours and ask for it. In fact, I’m going to challenge you to do exactly that.
So to give you a little fortitude – and I’m not talking about drink – I have a couple of questions for you:
- What are you giving up by not asking for it?
- What happens if you just start it?
- How will being the tech project manager move your career forward?
You’ve got your tribe – your people who you can bring together to do this – now lead them.
Are you willing to take that leap?
I hope so
Now go do it. Better yet don’t ask – Just tell them how you will go forward with it. If you want some help going forward I’m right there with you.
I’m Ready to Leap!
